APPF29 Concludes with Agreement on Promoting Solidarity, Cooperation for Parliament and Peace

PHNOM PENH: The two-day Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum has concluded on Wednesday with delegations commit to promote unity and cooperation for peace in Asia-Pacific Cooperation in all fields and efforts to overcome the global epidemic of Covid-19. Chairman of the National Assembly Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Propaganda and Information of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Cambodian Parliamentary Delegation has led the Cambodian Parliamentary delegation through a virtual system during the last plenary session and closing ceremony of the annual meeting APPF29.

At the finalization, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea Park Byeong-seug has briefed all APPF delegates on the outcome of the Executive Committee Meeting and related meetings emphasizing that although the annual meeting was held in a virtual format, it was an opportunity for the House of Representatives to demonstrate their commitment.

The 29th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum has ended with APPF members approving the Brunei Darussalam Parliament as the 28th member of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum. It also adopted 13 resolutions and agreed on a joint statement. The meeting also determined that the 30th Annual Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum will be held in the Kingdom of Thailand in 2022.
